Moti Horenstein's MMA & Krav Maga...
links the world's most effective martial arts styles, with the five critical elements of self-defense: striking and clinching, take downs, grappling techniques, sparring sessions, and weapons. These elements combined with the energy of the mind, body, and spirit leads to overall personal development and well being.
As any wise architect will tell you, a building is only as good as its foundation. The grander the ultimate design, the deeper and more unshakable must be the foundation.
The MHMMA teaching method focuses on practical techniques that work in real life. Rather than distract and astound you with an array of spectacular techniques that have little or no practical application, we prefer to concentrate on techniques that will help ensure our student's safety. To that end, we feel we have a moral and ethical obligation to offer a curriculum that has been rigidly tested, exhaustively researched and proven to be an intelligent and practical method with which to address the realities of an actual self-defense situation. Our style of self-defense, Krav Maga (Extreme Hisardut) is perfected in Israel and has stood the test of time.
Subsequently, there are many techniques that we chose not to teach here at Moti Horenstein’s MMA & Krav Maga. Why?
This is because there are simple techniques which are more effective. As we emphasize to our students during their first year of training, we could waste an hour of their precious time by showing them 15 to 20 flashy moves. Those flashy “Hollywood choreographed” martial arts moves would leave you totally amazed. However, they would be baseless and not work in a real self-defense situation.
At MHMMA, we are in the business of addressing our student's concerns. Our commitment is to impart useful knowledge to a student from their very first day of instruction, which explains why MHMMA has been ranked “among the top martial arts academies in the nation” by Nicholas Cokinos, President of Educational Funding Company, and why our student competitors are regarded as some of the best full contact fighters in the country and in the world.
